Conferenciante invitado:

Título:
Research and development of vasopressin peptide analogs as antitumor agents

Resumen
Synthetic derivatives of vasopressin, such as the peptide desmopressin, exert diverse effects on kidney collecting ducts, microvascular endothelium and certain tumors, inducing hemostatic, angiostatic and cytostatic actions, among others. A "long and winding road" from basic/preclinical research to veterinary studies and clinical trials in patients allows to design perioperative adjuvant protocols to reduce
risks associated to oncological surgery.
