Título del seminario:  A Semantic Architecture for Industry 4.0

Resumen:

Industry 4.0 is a worldwide effort to define the future of manufacturing. The production system and its associated services should evolve towards Cyber-Physical Systems able to exchange information in an autonomous and intelligent way. Such systems should be able to decide and trigger actions and to control each other. In this context, knowledge engineering is essential to define a general semantic framework where machines, machines capabilities, message formats may be described. Furthermore, while low level numeric sensor data are to be analysed with data-mining or process-mining techniques, a semantic based system is necessary to fill the gap between low level detection of abnormal states, and high level, expert recommendations.
In this presentation, we will describe our perspective on how semantic technologies may be used to support Industry 4.0. We will present the various elements required for a real world implementation, with a particular emphasis on the conceptual model. This conceptualization is based on different ongoing research projects that will also be presented.
